The Brilliant Bread Company - Worth the Drive

A new addition to the Eugenia Falls Emporium is the Brilliant Bread & Cheese Company.  The Emporium is located right on Grey Road 13 in the heart of Eugenia.  In the realatively small but very productive retail space annexed to the Emporium one finds themselves in the midst of wonderful wafts of fresh bread, made in a wholesome and traditional way, with no additives or preservatives.  The Brilliant Bread & Cheese Company is new to town and surrounds but will easily become a mainstay for locals and a must visit for the tourists.  It is a rare thing these days to be able to walk into a bakery and be able to see 'stuff being made'.  What a great treat to visit the BB&CC and not only be able to purchase great products at great prices - tremendous value on cheeses too - but to also see a master baker excercise his craft a mere few feet away.

That was not a very nice thing to say and it's not true. Shame on you. I have been there twice now and both times the bread has been absolutely fantastic. The owners were very nice. Maybe you were having a bad day.

Love the article and while we have not yet been to Eugenia, after reading your review - it will be our next weekend "Sunday Drive". Your recommendation for the Ravenna Country market proved a winner and we have been back many times since we read your review. Keep up the good work and your lovely little "finds" off the beatin bath.

Maybe Anonymous is Oscar the Grouch who lives in a garbage can and gourmet meal is stale piece of white bread.

I have found the product, service and employees/owners excellent. Although I do not live in area I have been there twice.

Perhaps Anonymous has had an abrassive life. Obviously with the name anomynous they are hidding something.

Wow...Anonymous must have gone to the wrong store...I own the place with my wife...we are always happy to chat and serve anyone, and as a person who makes their living from the whim of the general public...'kurt' is not an option...as far as expensive garbage goes...thats what you get at the grocery store, over priced for what it is...I've spent 20 years refining my craft to eleminate all the non essentials from our product and have distilled it down to the very best ingredients (time being the most important and most expensive) and the very best flavour from a simple and honest process. If you are not happy with anything we have made, you are invited to simply return the uneaten remainder of the bread to us for a full refund...thats our comittment to our product and our customers.

Sincerely
Luke & Marina Sheepers
Brilliant! Bread & Cheese Co. Ltd.

The Brillian Bread store, what a find... We should have three locations instead of one!
Its healthy, no yeast, a sourdough base, the density and texture is out of this world, Luke has perfected the process. Has anyone tried the assortment of Quebec and other gourmet cheeses? I am grateful to have your store in our community.

The underside of the loaf I purchased was burnt. I also noticed that the bread had a foam-like consistency after a day.
The employee seemed more interested in pressing me to buy their favorite products, then in letting me buy what I came for.
I was generally unimpressed with the service and the product.

Your bread is fantastic. In fact I am eating a slice as I write. Thank you. :D

Hmm ... In responce to Mr Hunt ... bread is technically a 'set' foam by definition ... but, I think you are expressing displeasure with your purchase ... please feel free to simply 'show up' and state your name for a full refund ... imposters beware as I will ask for ID !! ... If you don't like what you got from our store ... bring it back for a full refund ... It's a hand made process ... and some days are better than others ... I could bore you with the various details, but we would rather you were happy with your experience and purchase ... Sorry for the delay in posting a responce, had a change of residence and trouble getting internet access in Grey County.

I am gluten intolerant. Have tried your sour dough bread as well as many others. All I can say is...Well Done! Even the slightest wafer in a chocolate bar or regular ice cream sets me off but not your sour dough. It gets old pretty quickly when you cannot eat bread and for another plus, sourdough is a fav. Keep up the great work! Btw, your prices are very reasonable as well!
Thank you!
